Torque plates are a crucial part of the engine machining process.
When honing a cylinder, it is important that the head studs are torqued in place to simulate a cylinder head being installed at the time of machining.
Without using one, the cylinders will surely distort upon final assembly. This results in a cylinder that is out-of-round; affecting the piston ring's ability to seal, increasing wear on the piston, increasing oil consumption, increasing blow-by, and reducing engine efficiency.
 
Our torque plate has been sized to permit a bore size of up to 90.5mm! So even if you're using a larger custom piston, this will do the trick!
